The Country Auto Barn

Where machines and friendships are built, one ride at a time.

Some stories begin with a spark. Mine began with the clank of a wrench against a rusty metal fuel tank in my father’s garage in Ooty. I was probably seven when I first experienced the rush of a kickstart. That garage was my kingdom of magic, where grease, tools, and machinery with their own tales of rust and wires were ready to be unraveled. I did not realize this then, but these were slowly shaping my life.

The Country Auto Barn is a tribute to that very magic.

This isn’t your average workshop. This is a sanctuary where both classic jeeps and bikes and today’s high-performance beasts—Harleys, ADV tourers, and more—are maintained, repaired and restored with love, care, and respect. A place where rust is not the end, but the start of a new beginning.

With years of experience as an aeronautical and mechanical engineer, I have always believed that quality restoration work is an amalgamation of science and soul. There are machines that need light touches, and there are others that need an overhaul, but always, each one gets my complete attention.

I’ve always believed in doing things the right way: open communication, fair pricing, and no shortcuts. And perhaps that’s why many of the folks who’ve walked into this garage as customers have left driving out as friends.

But the Country Barn has always been more than just fixing vehicles—it’s about fueling passion. Over the years, I’ve led motorcycle tours across some of India’s most breathtaking and brutal terrains, from the Himachal region to down south India. And with every tour, it’s been more than a ride: it’s been about brotherhood, campfires, stories under starry night skies, and the kind of laughter that lasts long after the journey ends.

Today, the Country Auto Barn stands as a humble but honest dream come true. A space for like-minded riders, tinkerers, and adventurous souls who believe that every machine has a spirit—and every ride, a tale.

So if you feel like reviving an old beast back to life or just want to chat over chai about your next ride, come by.
The doors are open. The tools are ready. And the journey never really ends.
